Comfort Inn Ringwood Lake

After our car broke down on a 42 degree day, we really appreciated how comfortable, cool and clean the accommodation was. Nina met us at the door when we arrived and helped with our bags. She was exceptionally helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Thanks again for the great service.

I’ve stayed in plenty of motels, but this was the hardest experience I’ve had. I wasn’t given any instructions for getting into my room, so I got locked out and had no way to contact anyone. I ended up driving back home to sleep. They wouldn’t refund me, and the man I spoke to was extremely rude. Please don’t support this kind of business behaviour. Go somewhere else.

We arrived at midnight and couldn’t get into our room because no entry instructions had been sent. We tried the emergency office bell, but it did nothing, and we didn’t get to stay at all. They had called once while I was at work, just 20 minutes before the office closed, so I couldn’t answer. When I called to ask for a refund, it seemed clear this wasn’t the first time he’d refused one to people who couldn’t access their room. The customer service was very rude. He complained about having held our room even though they weren’t fully booked, and interrupted every sentence I tried to say.

Eastland shopping centre is close by, with food and supplies easy to find. We stopped for a night while travelling from the south-west, and the price was great. Monty at reception was helpful and nice. The room was a bit dated, but clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed. There wasn’t much noise despite the freeway being nearby. My only gripe is the pillows: for hygiene, they should consider sealed ones like those used in hospitals. The modern sealed ones can still be soft and don’t feel like plastic. A pleasant stay.
