The location made this nine-night stay easy. There are two bus stops within walking distance, M City Mall is right next door with plenty of food options, and K mart and Woolworths are only a few steps away. Our room at PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne was clean, with ample amenities, and housekeeping did a thorough job. The team was attentive, and Sollesh at reception, if I’ve got the name right, was friendly and helpful. We also had a lovely view of the sunsets from our room facing Princes HWY Service Road. Watching the colours change most evenings was a real pleasure. Thanks and kudos to the team.
We felt welcome as soon as we arrived at PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne. The room was spotless, modern and comfortable, and waking up to its beautiful view was a highlight. There was a lovely welcome treat waiting for us: fresh strawberries, chocolates, cheese and crackers, plus bottled water. It was thoughtfully arranged and so pretty we almost didn’t want to eat it. Thanks especially to Allanah, Sailesh, and Ryan. They were warm and professional, and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. We had a beautiful stay and will definitely be back.
I stayed at ParkRoyal for more than two weeks and had a good experience. Even arriving late at night, check-in was no trouble. The room was spacious, cleaning was regular and efficient, and Clayton is a convenient spot with a mall and plenty of restaurants nearby. I’d recommend the hotel. One suggestion for room 513: the large mirror faces the big window, so the light coming from behind makes it hard to use. A mirror on the cupboard would work better.
Edited: I’m not related to anyone who wrote the other reviews or travelling with them. Maybe this is a common room issue and other guests had the same problem. The location is great, with a shopping centre right next door, and the staff at check-in and check-out were friendly. The rest of the stay was full of serious problems. I’ve never had such a bad experience at a 4-star hotel, and honestly wouldn’t give it 3 stars. We got itchy almost immediately after using the bed or sofa bed, then one of us developed a rash on the leg. That’s completely unacceptable. The sofa bed was an extremely uncomfortable, cheap spring bed. There was no complimentary water, the fridge was empty, and the cups smelled of seafood. Breakfast at Ginger was very limited, the worst we’ve had at a 4- or 5-star hotel. The room door made loud noises for no clear reason and woke us several times in the afternoon and late at night. We think pressure or suction from the hallway caused it. Room service was also unreliable. We’d put up the do not disturb sign to save them time, but on the third day, after the rash appeared, we called at around 1 pm to ask for fresh bedding. They acknowledged the request, but when we got back around 11 pm, nothing had been done. Stay away.
We were exhausted after our flight, so I asked for an early check-in while travelling with my boys, aged seven and four, to spend New Year together. The Park Royal Monash team did all they could to get us into a room early, and I really appreciated that. Dinu at reception was especially helpful and a real asset to the team. The room was clean, with an amazing view from the ninth floor, from the pool all the way to the distant mountains. Thank you, Park Royal Monash team. The quality of service has made me want to stay loyal to the Pan Pacific group.
