BIG4 Crystal Brook Tourist Park

I love this park. It’s in a beautiful spot with amazing birdlife, and the staff are lovely, understanding and accommodating. The potholes are annoying for a couple of minutes, but you get used to them, and that seems a fair trade for birdsong at night, the smell of the trees after rain and great showers. My one real complaint is the lack of ventilation or fans in the bathrooms. I’m sensitive to strong deodorants and to the smell of the toilets while showering. There’s also a buggy that gives off a lot of smoke, which is unpleasant to breathe for a moment. I recently had to leave after reaching the maximum stay. A bad reviewer here said another park was better, but I found that park and suburb unpleasant compared with Crystalbrook in Doncaster. Smoother roads don’t compare with Crystalbrook’s kind staff, pleasant surroundings and better facilities, showers and kitchen.

I came down from NSW for the Warrandyte run and stayed in my car on an ensuite powered site. It’s a lovely little park with a great kitchen, pool, WiFi and pretty much everything you need. The women in the office were lovely. Shops aren’t within walking distance, unfortunately.

Leanne was great to deal with, and the service was excellent. Sorting out a site was easy, even over New Year. This is a lovely hidden gem near Melbourne, with river side sites surrounded by native plants and wildlife, a lovely spot for families. The roads badly need resurfacing. We got through fine even though we don’t have an off road van, but the high speed bumps seem unnecessary when the road already makes you slow down. I hear the park has just come under new management, and I’m excited to see what they do with it. I’m sure it’ll become an even more amazing place. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Melbourne.

The pool was lovely, and the rooms had a bit of charm. My kids had a great time, so we'd happily stay again. A couple of small things could be better: some games in the games room didn't work, and the playground felt a little small. Still, it was a pleasant stay.
