De'Vine Escape

They were so warm and welcoming. For my birthday stay I got a discount, and they even gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate. I haven’t experienced this kind of hospitality at an accommodation in a long time. Highly recommend!

We were very happy with our overnight stay. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the modern ensuite was beautiful, especially the elegant mirror with its own demister. Getting the key from the box was easy, so there was no need to go to reception. It was very close to the reception centre, and even more convenient because we guests had a bus organised from there to the wedding and back. The rotunda was also a lovely addition for a small group get-together afterwards.

Our wedding was at Fergusson Winery next door, and our family and grooms party stayed at De’Vine. The atmosphere and amenities were fantastic, and we had a BBQ on site the night before. Our guests all said their rooms and views were lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks again, highly recommend.

Hazel was fantastic, communicating before our trip and helping with a few small requests. The continental breakfast was great, with fresh berries and strawberries, muesli, local honey and butter. It was healthy and they didn’t skimp on the fruit. We’ll definitely return to De'vine. The setting is lovely. De'vine is a group of studios in the Ferguson vineyard, with a little patio at the back overlooking the vines. The restaurant is only a 2-3 minute walk, and the food and staff are superb. We had one of the best gnocchis we’ve ever eaten. A stroll in the morning or late afternoon is pleasant, and at night the stars come out in droves without light pollution. The room was nice and the soundproofing worked well. We couldn’t hear the neighbours even though it was nearly fully booked. I found the bed comfortable despite reading complaints that it was too hard. A couple of small things could be improved: there’s a gap under the front doors, and the bathroom door squeaks, which can bother someone sleeping. Some oil would probably fix the squeak. A Nespresso machine would also be a nice upgrade.
