The garden was beautifully decorated and would make a lovely setting for wedding or small party photos. The rooms were very nice and had a great look, too. Sheryl and Maria in customer service were wonderful and so accommodating. They went out of their way to help our group with last-minute room changes, and even held our seven large bags after the wedding party while we went to Sydney, before our reservation dates. We found this lovely property through a web search and would happily stay again.

The grounds were kept really well, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room felt a little dated, but that suited the venue’s style. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked well, and for the price it was a really good place to stay. I was in Melbourne for a wedding and stayed three nights.

Our drive from Brisbane ran badly late, and we didn’t reach the lodge until 1 am instead of 2 pm. I was worried we might not get a room and end up sleeping in the car. Reception closes at 6 pm and no one answered the phone after that, but once we got to the lodge we found out how to access our room, even arriving in the middle of the night. The room was clean and really nice, with all the basic amenities. It’s an affordable deal, about a 15-minute drive from Melbourne CBD, and had a great feel to it.

The property is surrounded by gardens where you can sit and enjoy some quiet. Our room had recently been renovated, including a new bathroom, and the quality we got for the price was exceptional.

Properly quaint, with an authentic 50s and 60s retro feel. We got a great rate for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit, and the location worked well for the eastern suburbs. I’d definitely stay again.
