Ringwood has a polished little bubble around the train station and large modern shopping centre, so this is handy for business trips or appointments. The hotel is very clean, but it lacks a lot of hotel amenities, including a pool. The restaurant can be exceptionally nice, though midweek it can also be extremely bad, possibly because of staffing or something similar. That wouldn’t put me off using the hotel. I wouldn’t choose this area for a holiday. It’s a very boring place unless shopping is your goal, in which case it’s pretty decent.

We stayed overnight after a wedding, three of us sharing an apartment-style room. It was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed, and the buffet breakfast was included and very good. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely stay here again sometime.

The room worked perfectly for getting the groom ready on the wedding day, and the large balcony was ideal for photos. The rest of the experience didn’t impress me much. At check-in, I was with my son, but the male receptionist assumed we needed two separate rooms. That wasn’t appropriate. Breakfast was at 7.30am, with only two other tables occupied, but the buffet was all cold: scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausages. The juice seemed to have been left over from the previous day. A visitor dropping something off also wasn’t greeted pleasantly at reception. I’m a loyalty club member, and breakfast was supposed to be included when I booked, yet I had to pay for it separately.

We’d just finished a brilliant 5-night stay at Rydges Ringwood with our group of 8 rooms, and everything went smoothly. Tonya was wonderful to work with, quick to respond, genuinely helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we had what we needed. The location was perfect, the rooms were lovely and comfortable, and the staff were always friendly and ready to help. Nothing felt like too much trouble. Thanks to Tonya and the whole team. 🙌
