Jervis was very pleasant and helpful, and paid attention to what I asked for. I appreciated that the room, sheets, towels and bathroom were all clean and tidy. The inner courtyard was a peaceful little oasis, with barely any traffic noise from the nearby freeway. The location worked well, just a few minutes' walk from the township, cafes, restaurants and a supermarket. Thanks, Jervis, for making my stay pleasant.

The atmosphere was unpleasant, and the place seemed empty, with no people or cars around. When I called the night before to ask about checking in at 7, the manager rudely said they were at home and told me to call tomorrow. When I arrived, the man I think was the owner asked how much he was putting in his purse for a one or possibly two week stay, and wanted two weeks' money upfront. The manager had quoted 600 pw, but he said 700, claiming it had always been 100 a day. He stared at the ground, insisted I'd signed in, and told me to get more cash. I said I'd go to the ATM since he wanted cash, but I never went back. He acted as if I were lying about what the manager had quoted. It had a Bates hotel vibe.

It's pretty run-down, but the accommodation is cheap and gives you access to all kinds of things, including the Australian Open Golf.

I was shocked by how poor the room was. The furniture was damaged, there was blood on the blankets, and there wasn't even a microwave. For what it costs, it's definitely not worth it. The manager always seemed busy, so I didn't speak to him. It's just not good.
