ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley

Good value for money, and the location made it easy to get to shops, restaurants and public transport. The team were friendly and helpful throughout. My room was clean, comfortable and well looked after. I had a really pleasant stay at ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley and would come back, whether for a short getaway or a work trip. 😊

Being able to walk to a strip of restaurants was a big plus, and The Glen was just a quick 10-minute walk away. The rooms were fine, and the woman at reception was really nice. At checkout the lifts weren't working when we needed to get down to the basement car park, so we had to run down the ramp to get our car. It was also confusing to work out how to leave the car park. You have to drive to within about 0.5 m of the roller doors to trigger them to open. The men I spoke to on the phone weren't very helpful.

Breakfast cost another $20 and wasn't included, and the price I paid felt a little steep for what I got. There is free Wi-Fi, with premium Wi-Fi available to members. The lobby is huge, and the reception team were welcoming, friendly and professional. My room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and everything looked spotless. They'd put coffee, tea and milk in the room, with a kettle for making hot drinks. A clean and comfortable stay, just a bit pricey for the inclusions.

The meals were really tasty, and everyone was respectful and reasonable. I had a wheelchair-accessible room that worked well for access, though moving around in it was harder than I expected. The price seemed reasonable for the amenities. The main bar bill gave me a bit of a shock, but otherwise everything was perfect. Great stay and location. I'd come back. 👌👍
