The living area on my floor had spacious, comfortable sofas, and the check-in was from 2 pm with automatic check-out at 10 am. I stayed four nights in the Drifter Dream Pods. My pod was roomy and well equipped, with good lighting, a mirror, a reading light, a small space beside the mattress and two storage compartments. Curtains let you close off the pod for privacy. A large locker in the room fits a 28-inch suitcase, but bring your own padlock. My layout was a little different because the toilets and bathrooms were outside the bedroom. They were cleaned daily and kept well maintained, with hot water, shampoo and body wash provided. The pods are mixed-gender, so it may not suit you if you'd rather not share space with the opposite sex. This is one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in, and I'd recommend it to budget travelers.

The friendly, welcoming atmosphere made my stay at Little Drifter Melbourne really enjoyable. There are plenty of activities if you feel like meeting people. Josie and Eion deserve a special thanks for always being so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Their positive attitude made the stay even better. I'd happily return and recommend it to other travelers visiting Melbourne.

Traveling alone in Melbourne, my first hostel stay turned out really nice. The CBD location was perfect, the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shared space cosy. The staff were super welcoming and helpful. Claudia was especially kind and patient, with excellent customer service. I was lucky to meet the lovely girls in my room too, and we shared stories and fun conversations. I'd recommend this hostel!

There are lots of nice places to sit and fun activities, and it's a good hostel overall. But the internet worked very poorly. The digital room key sometimes took five minutes to load, leaving me waiting outside my door. The showers weren't very clean and kept flooding.

Little Drifter Melbourne is easily the best hostel I've stayed at in Australia. I stayed a long time, and the calm, comfortable atmosphere was great. The pods room felt very close to the Japanese-style capsule hotels I'm used to, and everything was kept clean and tidy. I also appreciated the building's nighttime security patrols. Bella at the front desk was amazing. She went out of her way to help me find the accommodation option that suited my needs, and that made the whole stay much easier. I'm really grateful for her help. Thank you so much! 😊🙏
