The rooftop was a lovely spot to get some fresh air, and the hostel has a relaxed, friendly feel. It’s also handy for exploring Melbourne. I was in the clean, comfortable 4-Female room, though there wasn’t anywhere by the beds to hang clothes or organize personal things. The kitchen felt cramped for the number of guests and could use more storage. From my first day, Candela at reception made me feel welcome and looked after. I met Claudia, the other receptionist, a few days later. They’re both kind and always willing to help, which made arriving in Melbourne and settling in easy.

The common spaces make it easy to hang out and meet people, and there’s a nice atmosphere with regular fun activities. I spent a few months here and loved it. It felt like home, and I’d happily come back. The beds are comfortable, the place stays clean, and the curtains give you good privacy. It’s close to everything but still quiet. The staff are really friendly, especially Candela at reception. She’s always glad to help with anything.

The rooftop view is amazing, and I loved having a movie room too. There are regular events and plenty of spaces to meet other travellers, so it’s easy to connect. The staff are genuinely lovely and always ready to help. I was here for over a month, starting in a more private premium room before moving into a shared one, which was totally fine as well. It’s close to Victoria Market for fresh groceries and near the CBD, yet the neighbourhood is quiet. Everything gets cleaned throughout the day.

Archie made me feel welcome straight away at reception, and Jessye at the travel desk was a big help booking trips at great rates. Josie was lovely too. It’s in a great spot, in a quiet area but just a short walk from the CBD. The staff are lovely and the events are fun. I’d stay again.
