The views from the premium rooms were below average, and the shower kept switching between hot and cold with no comfortable in-between. The hallways smelled like vomit that hadn't been properly cleaned, and even the lifts weren't much better. I hope the body corporate sees this and replaces all the carpets. Parking was extremely frustrating. There was little communication about the car park, no clear signage, and the spaces were far too small for large vehicles. The reception staff were wonderful, but they need to improve how they communicate. There were no signs on the floors showing which side the rooms were on, either. I'll definitely never stay here again. I normally take photos for Google reviews, but I didn't for this place.

The apartment was advertised for four adults, but the oddly shaped two-person couch made the lounge impractical for that many guests. We also had just one tiny bin and one liner for the whole week, and shampoo and conditioner for only two people. It felt like basic comfort was being cut back. Our room was uncomfortably hot throughout the stay. The air conditioning wouldn't go below 27 degrees, and with a whole wall of windows the room heated up badly. One bedroom had no air conditioning at all and never cooled down. They eventually brought us a fan, which wasn't an acceptable fix for a room advertised as comfortable. The flat, lumpy pillows offered no support and made sleeping even harder. Getting around was confusing from the start. The parking arrangements weren't clearly explained, and we only learned after getting our key that we were in the West Tower. No one explained that the hotel has two separate towers, East and West. The pool was in the other tower, so every visit meant going down and switching buildings. Staff were friendly at first, but the ongoing problems and lack of solutions made our week-long stay very frustrating. We raised the issues repeatedly and were told they were already known. We were explicitly told that the hotel owner, based in China, was unwilling to pay for repairs. Knowing about these problems and leaving them unfixed is unacceptable. Staff stayed polite, but offered no real solutions, and the same issues continued throughout our stay. The poor maintenance and communication made this a very disappointing stay, nowhere near the advertised standard. We wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.

The staff were lovely. The night shift bloke who helped us was a top bloke and sorted things out straight away, and the woman who helped switch our room was nice too. We booked a Jetstar flight and accommodation package, and our room was supposed to have a premium view. Instead it looked over a train station, with trains running until around 1am, passing every 10 minutes. We asked to move but couldn't at first, which made what was meant to be a great family holiday feel like a nightmare. After contacting Jetstar, which arranged the package, we got moved. It was quieter, but the trains still woke us around 5am with their horns. The new room was badly damaged, with a broken bedside light, scratched and marked floors, and a broken handle on the kids' room door. That evening, while getting the kids ready for bed, we found an open condom and a sexual polaroid picture of a lady beside the bed in their room. I won't upload the picture out of respect for her privacy. There was also a white pill stamped Dia. It could possibly have been diazepam, and it would have been nasty if my 3 year old had picked it up thinking it was candy.

Eknoor made us feel like family rather than guests. Her warmth, patience, attention to detail, and thoughtful follow-ups meant a lot, especially as we were travelling with a toddler and an elderly parent. She handled every request with gentleness, empathy, and professionalism. She does more than her job, she changes the experience for people. We travelled from Singapore and spent 8 nights at Lumina. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything we needed. Secure, seamless parking also made daily trips stress-free while travelling with our family. This was our first serviced apartment, and Lumina exceeded what we'd expected. The service, comfort, and facilities rivalled and even surpassed many 5-star hotels we've stayed at around the world. Thank you to Eknoor and the whole Lumina team for giving us a stay that became a lasting memory. Lumina is somewhere we'll always return to.

The beds felt like sleeping on wood, so they definitely need mattress toppers. The pillows could use improvement too. Still, it was great to have pet-friendly accommodation. The level 23 view over the yarra and eastern city was amazing, with a great outlook towards the hills. Mavel Stadium is right at your doorstep, Southern cross station is below, and public transport is easy to reach, including the Free Tram Zone. The apartment had all the amenities we needed: dishwasher, stove top, oven, dryer, washing machine, fridge, a 2Br main bedroom with ensuite, and a balcony. There was also a pool and gym.
