Manhattan Apartments - Glen iris

I was there for 28 days, and one bedroom had no air conditioning in the middle of peak summer. It was too hot to sleep in, and the portable fan they supplied barely helped. The apartment was dusty too, with cobwebs in the bedroom. Despite the $400 cleaning fee, only the bathrooms looked properly cleaned. The garage door replacement notice we saw on arrival said anyone could get into the lift area and cars, which raised a serious security concern. Then there was the garage remote. In an email on Friday, March 14th, they told us to return it by Monday or face a penalty. I explained I was away for work and expected to be back Monday night or Tuesday. I rearranged things and dropped it off after hours on Monday, but they still threatened a late-return penalty. Staff were inflexible and unhelpful, seeming more concerned with penalties than giving guests a decent stay. I rarely write reviews, but this was unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend it.
