We loved our Southbank stay and enjoyed the rooftop deck views with a cheese platter from the nearby supermarket. The location made it easy to reach shopping, the CBD and sporting arenas on foot. Trams and bike hire are close by too. The team was easy to deal with, and I’d recommend the apartment to friends visiting Melbourne. Thanks! :)
The rooftop pool is heated and has a great view of the skyscrapers while you swim. The apartment is nicely decorated and well equipped, with free Wi-Fi at a decent speed. It’s in China town, convenient for just about everything in central Melbourne, and no more than a five-minute walk from the tram network. Stay Central manages the process, and Douglas took good care of us at the meet and greet. Good value, top marks, and much better than a hotel for a medium or long stay. Thoroughly recommended.
We spent about 20 days at Staycentral CBD vistas apartment with our pets. It was spacious and had everything needed for either a short or long stay. The location is amazing, just minutes from several theatres, great restaurants, QV shopping mall and Melbourne’s main shopping streets. A great base for discovering the city.
The Brunswick apartment was spacious and worked well for our family. It was generally clean and well maintained, friendly neighbours, and fairly quiet for a large complex at the intersection of two major roads. The service was friendly and responsive, and the place is comfortable, reasonably priced and well located for transport, parks, shops and restaurants. I’d stay again. The free parking was a tight squeeze, though. I had to allow an extra 10-15 minutes just to get out of the lot. A fresh carpet, new paint and new kitchen furniture would bring it up to the level of larger commercial venues. The bathroom fan was also a bit irritating: its movement sensor made it hard to use the bathroom quietly at night, yet it sometimes failed to detect a shorter person in the shower and switched off when needed.
I’ve stayed in several Staycentral apartments over the years and they continue to impress me. The Lonsdale St apartment is fabulous, nicely styled and in a fantastic location, right by Chinatown’s great restaurants and just two minutes from the shops and cafes I love in Melbourne. Chris, their manager, always looks after us so well. Don’t even look elsewhere.
