The apartment was mostly clean, though not spacious, and the furniture was uncomfortable without being the worst I've seen. Cooking was possible, but there were very few utensils and pots. The large smart TV was of little use without internet, which was a major annoyance. When I raised the connection problem, the sanctimonious staff said, "we don't charge for it". Internet access was included in the tariff, though, and some guests could connect while others couldn't. Their "IT staff" apparently couldn't fix it. Dishwasher powder came in little plastic packets that just add to landfill. The tiny triangular shower was painful to use, and its door opened across the only towel rail. That rail sits next to the toilet, where it can catch toilet aerosols, which is a real thing if you look it up. To enter the grounds, you have to press a button on a post some distance from the entrance to raise a boom gate. Other guests drove through behind me more than once, triggering the gate to lower. The location is away from the town centres of Rye and Rosebud and about equally far from the ocean beaches, so whether it's convenient depends. I won't return. Timeshare has had its day, and this accommodation's future doesn't look bright.

The room overlooking the tennis court had almost no privacy. Balls thudded against the court, players shouted and laughed, and people on either end could look straight into the room. I had to shut myself away to get any quiet. For three nights in a row, the resort also failed to close the courts and pool by 10pm, despite its own rules. People stayed outside my balcony shouting, smoking, and carrying on late into the night, while the court lights remained on and shone through the curtains. I had to call the after-hours service just to get the resort to enforce its rules. Staff were rude, dismissive, and unapologetic. They neither acknowledged the failure nor made a real effort to resolve it, and the manager acted as if I'd caused the problem by getting a “bad room” and should put up with it. After 16 years of returning to Nepean Country Club, I won't come back. I used to trust the place for peace and standards, but now it feels badly managed and indifferent. Standards and service have slipped, and the guest experience seems like an afterthought. They've lost a long-term guest, and I'd urge others to think carefully before staying.

The food was a highlight of our five-day family break at Nepean Country Club. Maharaja Restaurant, which had just opened, and Aqua Café both had full menus for everyone. We enjoyed dishes like butter chicken, grilled fish, lamb curries, paneer tikka, dal makhani, and fresh salads. The children found plenty too, including mild curries, pasta, and pancakes at Aqua Café. Meals were delicious, fairly priced, and clearly made with care. The Nepean Day Spa added a calm, professional finish to the trip. There was plenty on site to keep the kids busy, the grounds were beautifully kept, and we had spaces to relax together. We left feeling completely rested and are already planning another visit. A great family resort with food and amenities for all ages.

I've been coming here for years, first with my kids when they were young and now on my own. The accommodation is basic but more than satisfactory. There's a lot to do, with indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and squash courts, a games room, and more. Best of all, you're close to everything, and if you love golf, it's paradise. Do yourself a favour and have a good look.

My wife and I spent a week at Nepean Country Club. The unit was very clean and well equipped, and we enjoyed the pools, gym, and other amenities. Everything and all the equipment seemed well looked after. Really, just one problem, namely ⁷7⁶ɓh⁶.
