Moja Duck being on site meant I could get an evening meal without heading back out, and the staff were friendly. I was in town for an appointment at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and stayed the night before, since I live out of town. It’s under 10 minutes by car from the hospital. The room was clean and welcoming, with the aircon already on during a hot day. I liked the colours and decor, and the modern bathroom had all the amenities, even moisturiser. I didn’t mind the road noise despite being right on Royal Parade. I’ll come back 😊

Claudia at the front desk made us feel welcome straight away. She was warm, helpful, and professional. The property was clean, comfortable, and cozy as well. A lovely place to stay, and we’ll be back!

We wanted an affordable place within walking distance of the zoo, and stayed over Valentines weekend as a family of three. The pool was clean and nice, and the hotel is also walkable to everything. Our premium room had no issues, and our side of the building was clean, modern and smelled pleasant. We’d seen mixed reviews before arriving, but the stay exceeded what we expected. You can clearly see the property is being rebranded.

The car park was open and convenient, but the rest was poorly organised. We’d booked a family room with breakfast for four, then breakfast was cancelled because of renovations. Our original room only slept three, so we were moved to an inferior room that smelled like it had once been used for smoking.

The area is lovely, but I’d stay somewhere else. I was there for work and the bathroom was dirty and damaged: the shower screen had come off and the remaining part was rusty, the bath had patched holes, and the vanity was cracked. Some colleagues got the renovated rooms shown in the photos, but mine was basic. Staff didn’t even acknowledge me when I walked past reception.
