Plantation House At Whitecliffs

We stayed in the Havana suite and had a wonderful time. It was super clean and comfortable. Charles showed us around the suite and property and explained everything. His cooked breakfast was to die for. We’ll definitely be back.

Charles made us feel welcome straight away, showed us around and shared lots of tips. With just 3 suites, this was the warmest BnB I’ve stayed in. We found it for an overnight trip to the peninsula with my partner, and we’ll return. The room was a good size and fully equipped. The mattress was a little soft for me, but still a good bed. Everything was spotless, and the shower had great pressure. We also enjoyed the hot tub before dinner. Breakfast the next morning exceeded our expectations, with plenty of choice and fresh ingredients cooked perfectly by Charles. We play tennis and may come back for tournaments at Rye tennis club, just a 5 minute walk away.

Breakfast at Plantation House was superb, and there was plenty of it. We filled out a form with what we wanted the next morning, including drinks, and everything was delicious. Charles was eager to share tips for things to do, especially about the wineries. Check-in was completely straightforward, and he was the best host we could have hoped for. Our room was huge, with a high ceiling, exceptionally clean and equipped with everything we needed. We also enjoyed the property's bathtub. This was one of the highlights of our trip and one of our best stays at a B&B or hotel.

The location is lovely, on a quiet street and only 5 minutes from beautiful Rye beach. Charles was a wonderful, very accommodating host. Our room was spacious, clean and just right, and breakfast was delicious. Looking forward to coming back!
