Peter moved us into a quiet studio at no extra charge when our original room faced the road. Fern was a great help throughout the online booking, and Sunita sorted out an additional room. The staff and manager were friendly and helpful. The room had a decent sized bed and a clean, spacious bathroom. It came with a pod coffee machine, full sized fridge, cutlery, crockery and a laundry with washing machine and dryer. Having a car park on site was a bonus.

Peter, the manager, was especially caring and understanding. I’d come to recuperate after spending a month at Monash, and Punthill Oakleigh is only 12 min away. His kindness, and the help from Claudia and Fern at the front desk, made a real difference for my partner and me. They extended our booking several times because we didn’t know exactly when I’d need to leave and be readmitted to the nearby Monash hospital. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Thank you all so much. The staff were fantastic, and the maintenance guy jonno quickly replaced our fridge when it wasn’t working, with a smile. I loved the spa bath, washer in the bathroom, huge bedroom, spacious lounge and big fridge, along with the kitchen appliances, cutlery and crockery.

We won’t be back. Check-in was meant to be at 2pm, but at 3.30 pm I was kept waiting at the desk while they checked the room. Twenty minutes later, I was told it would take another 20 minutes. When I asked why it wasn’t ready, they said they were busy and I’d been late anyway, which shouldn’t matter with a 2pm check-in. They charged $30 for parking. After I asked them to waive it, they argued, then offered $15 off, but said reimbursement would take 5 business days. The room was average and smelled like it had been made up in a rush. The hot water was barely warm. A waste of money.

My partner and I spent two months in the apartment. The staff were exceptional throughout, always putting in effort to impress us and provide quality service, and we really appreciated it. For specific requests, I recommend keeping in touch with Peter, the manager. He’s helpful and great to deal with.
