Quality Hotel Manor

The bathroom was clean and modern, and the undercover parking was handy. The man at reception was polite and helpful at check-in. I was surprised there was no lift, so I was lucky I could manage the four flights of stairs. The signs warning not to leave “valueables” in the car were off-putting, and walking through the huge, permanently closed function rooms to reach my room felt unnerving. The rest of the room was very dirty. The only kitchen items were a fridge, kettle, two cups, one water glass, and one teaspoon, so I had to buy a bowl, knife, and fork for breakfast. When I needed to extend by a night for reasons beyond my control, the reception staff member, a different man, was so rude that I found somewhere else to stay, closer to where I needed to be, clean, and with the usual kitchen utensils. I don't recommend 'Quality' Hotel Manor.

Good value. The building is dated, but the rooms were neat and tidy, and the bathroom had been renovated.

The price was good, but the place felt grubby and the public areas were old and unclean. Security seemed non-existent: there was a sign warning that Police had advised cars weren't safe, and the stairwell wasn't locked. It also smelled strongly of urine in there. Upstairs, the glass looked like it had a bullet hole in it.

The room was clean and the stay was okay. Amenities are basic and there's no atmosphere, but check-in is easy and efficient, which helps make up for that.
