The hosts were friendly and communicative, so check-in was seamless. It’s only a short walk to Healesville’s main street, a handy spot for a weekend in this lovely town. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, beautifully furnished, and set in beautiful surroundings. I’d definitely recommend it.

I didn’t meet Donia and Ozzie in person, and got the impression they prefer to give guests space unless help is needed. Their check-in and check-out communication was excellent, though. The room at The Old Mechanics was clean and comfortable, with a spacious, lovely bathroom. It’s also just a couple of minutes on foot from central Healesville and some terrific cafes. I’d stay here again.

The apartment was really clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for the two of us. It’s just off the main street, so amenities are all within walking distance. We came for my partner’s birthday, and Donia and Ozzie were attentive and helpful with suggestions for places to visit nearby.

The hosts communicated really well and made everything go smoothly. We had all we needed, and the coffee, tea and milk were generously provided. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal. Having parking on site was very convenient.

When we needed a couple of things, the hosts sorted them straight away. The Old Mechanics is close to the main street, so finding somewhere to eat was easy. Downstairs there’s a lounge, kitchenette and WC; upstairs on the mezzanine, the bed and pillows were so comfortable, and the shower room was wonderfully large. Everything felt thoughtfully done, including the quirky shelves and bedside tables. It’s rare to find such a lovely place with fabulous hosts. I couldn’t recommend it more.
