Tudor Cottages Mt Dandenong

We had a great stay, but the heater struggled to warm the room in winter. A little complimentary wood would have been appreciated. We could also hear people in the next cottage, even though the rooms were advertised as soundproof. We were caught without coffee, as we’d expected there to be at least a little complimentary coffee available.

The cottage was clean and tidy, but getting in was a bit awkward. The entrance from the road could be easier to spot, especially at night. We drove right past it on our first day 😂 We were hoping for a romantic night in with a fire for our 12 anniversary. After paying $460 for one night, we found out firewood wasn’t included. Privacy was an issue too. We couldn’t pull the curtains fully closed because they’d sit in the spa water, and there were no blinds on the kitchen windows. There was also no door between the kitchen and bedroom, so anyone walking past the window could see inside. I don’t think the cottages are worth the price, and they should take another look at what they charge. Some window furnishings would help as well.

We hiked every day, with the trails so close by, and the nearby town and others were all so sweet. It’s a lovely area and felt like great value. I’m very grateful, and thanks to Tudor Cottage. Inside, the cottage was super-clean and had everything we needed, plus a few extras. The quaint kitchen was fully stocked, including a stovetop and proper oven. The AC was awesome, the bed was comfy with lots of pillows, and the spa bath had enough hot water to fill it. It’s an older building and not perfect, but still a wonderful place to stay. Our host was available and very helpful.

Tudor Cottages made for a lovely stay, we enjoyed it so much. The cottage felt private and quaint, and had everything we needed. We relaxed in the spa and found it really romantic. Good value for money, and close to all the beautiful little towns. Thankyou, we’ll definitely be back xo
