We left after one night because the rooms weren’t clean enough for my fairly severe dust mite allergies. The first room had visible dust and felt tired and poorly serviced. Reception staff were friendly and responded quickly when I raised it, moving us straight away, but the second room was only marginally cleaner and still didn’t feel deeply cleaned, especially in the carpeted areas. We’d requested a foldout bed for our daughter, but it was extremely uncomfortable and not suitable for a good night’s sleep. Management handled our concerns professionally and respectfully, understood the situation and gave us a full refund without any argument. The front desk service was warm and courteous throughout. Housekeeping standards let the hotel down, though. With a serious deep clean and more attention to detail, especially in the carpeted areas, the property could offer a much better experience.

The view was fantastic, and getting around Docklands was easy. The shopping precinct, restaurants and bars are just across the road, and the tram stop is right outside. Parking is nearby at the Docklands shopping precinct, no more than a five-minute walk. The room was good value, though a few small things would have made it more comfortable. There were no wine glasses or bottle opener, and the pool bar wasn’t open on Saturday afternoon, which seemed odd on such a hot day. There were chairs on a small balcony facing the water, but that area was closed, so we couldn’t take a bottle of wine down and relax. Service was fine, just not anything special. I’d stay again for the value and the Docklands location.

The tram stop right outside made getting into the city very easy, and the hotel was kept to a high standard. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a lovely view. The bathtub was a bonus, and there was a great selection of toiletries. We had a great weekend at Vibe Hotel Melbourne Docklands and would happily stay again.

Room service was good and the location worked well, but the check-in felt cold and unwelcoming. The room itself was fine, though it needed a thorough clean and more attention to detail. The pillows were awful and there weren’t enough for a comfortable night’s sleep. The TV was painfully slow too. I had to switch it off and on at the power point several times before it connected to the channels.

For the price, I expected much better cleanliness and service. We booked for one adult and three children, but there were only two towels. The room lights didn’t work properly, there was no conditioner in the shower, and the mirrors were filthy. The toilet hadn’t been sanitised, and I don’t believe the lifts or passageways had ever been cleaned. The room wasn’t properly cleaned when we arrived. There was dust and visible marks, the bathroom had been missed, and the place didn’t feel fresh or well maintained. Check-in was terrible too. Nobody explained where the lifts were, they basically tossed us the key and left us to figure everything out. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel or stay here again.
