Victoria House Motor Inn

My sister Carol was just as taken with the lovely decor, welcoming atmosphere and friendly service as I was. She had a lot of praise for Renee and Rob and says she’d recommend them to other travellers. I’d driven past this place thousands of times without noticing it, but when I came in to look for short term accommodation for her, the feel of the foyer immediately appealed to me. Renee’s lovely greeting sealed it. Thanks both for your hospitality.

The owners were genuinely warm and welcoming, and the wine bar was a lovely, intimate spot to wind down in the evening. I also had breakfast both mornings, fresh and well prepared. My upstairs single room had a balcony and was peaceful, spotless and full of charm. The bed was super comfortable, and the place has a distinctive warmth and attention to detail. I only expected a nice stay, but it was unexpectedly lovely.

What a hidden gem! The Victorian rooms are gorgeous, roomy and comfortable, and the balcony was lovely. The bed and pillows were perfect too. For the money, this beats Airbnb or the newer hotels. Highly recommend!

The family who run Victoria Motor Inn were lovely and really helpful, and the little office and concierge area felt cosy. We didn’t eat there, but our room was spacious and had a brand new smart TV. Even with the busy road outside, we could hardly hear it, and the blackout curtains helped us get a good night’s sleep. My husband and I booked at short notice for a trip to Lilydale. The prices were affordable, and the rooms had loads of character. We’d book Victoria Motor Inn again without hesitation if we’re in the area.
