Eight Willows Retreat

Our wedding day was amazing, and everything ran so smoothly, from the setting and backing down to all the details in between. The service was more than 10/10, and I’ll always be grateful to the team. If you’re looking at wedding venues, this one belongs at the top of your list. Thank you Tegan, Jess, Lily and everyone at Eight Willows. You made our day the absolute best!!!!

The chalet had several appliances and felt self-sufficient, so it was easy to feel at home. Its location between Vasse and Margaret River is handy, with many notable wineries and attractions nearby.

We were at Eight Willows retreat for a wedding, which was fabulous, but our accommodation was dreadful. We had booked a two-bedroom chalet for two nights. Around 2pm on the second day, after we’d been out, we noticed a horrible smell in the second bedroom. Reception asked whether it was really an issue, said this had never happened before and that the previous guests hadn’t reported anything, then said someone would look into it. After the wedding service, there was no sign anyone had checked. Reception closed at 5pm, and when we went down, we were told nothing could be done. It seemed something had died in the ceiling. The manager offered to have us “bunk in with the manager,” but said “we needed to drink a lot first.” Two hours later, the same manager came to reception and told us he’d just put a scent bomb in the room. We checked out the next morning and declined the bottle of wine offered to us. We were treated very poorly. We’d booked the two-bedroom place to share with another couple, who fortunately couldn’t come, because they definitely wouldn’t have been able to sleep in that room. I wouldn’t normally post on Google, but I was told the manager had different roles, so I felt a direct complaint might be deleted.

Carly made our bush chapel ceremony happen despite the weather that day, and we’re so grateful. We got married here at the end of July, and the experience was absolutely magical. The reception in the function centre was just as wonderful, with the fire roaring in the background. Every staff member was friendly and gave our guests great service. Thanks again to Carly and the team!
