Bluewater Point Resort

The guest parking was decent, and I got good use out of the sauna 😂. But at $7,000 without a holiday discount, I expected the rooms to be relatively clean. They weren’t: the resort had cockroaches and cane toads everywhere, with pictures included. The advertised onsite gym felt like an afterthought. Do your research before booking, there are plenty of other resorts around.

The apartment was a great size, and its balcony overlooking the marina made the stay a lovely experience. It was peaceful too, with shops and a pub within walking distance. Management were good to deal with. Some of the fittings could use an update. I’d recommend booking directly.

The place is right by the water, with shops and supermarkets within walking distance. Our two-level room was spacious and well furnished, with breathtaking views. The kitchen had a cooking range, fridge, oven and microwave, and the bathrooms were roomy with a decent amount of amenities. The staff were helpful, and the pool, sauna and shower rooms were well maintained.

There are a few nearby food options for breakfast and such, and the apartment was a good size in a good location. It was fine for a short stay. The beds weren’t very comfortable, and it was very noisy because there’s a karaoke bar across the road on the right that plays late into the night.
