We missed out on the workshops this time, so we’ll have to come back. The gallery has lovely artisan goods, too. Peter and Christine let you enjoy your own space, but are happy to share a meal if you want, and they make sure you have what you need. Breakfast came with lovely coffee and pretty much anything we wanted. The bedrooms have beautiful handmade quilts, individual themes and fantastic views, and the kitchen was clean and fully equipped. Thanks for such a lovely stay. I couldn’t recommend it more.

The peace and solitude here are divine, with views to match. There’s plenty of space and beds for families or groups to get away together, and linen is supplied. The retreat is fully self-contained. The gallery is amazing, full of creative artisan pieces, mostly by local artists. The owners have so much knowledge and love sharing their passion. Peter and Chris teach workshops where you can make your own piece of art to take home. It’s always a delight to visit, and it won’t disappoint.

I booked just three days before our trip, then realized on arrival that we’d accidentally booked for the following weekend. We were traveling to the area for my grandmother’s funeral, and trying to find somewhere else at the last minute was stressful. John agreed he wouldn’t have lost a booking in those three days, but still refused to refund us. We couldn’t afford such an expensive mistake, and it made an already sad time feel devastating. A little kindness would have gone a long way. I had a really bad experience with John.

We only stopped briefly with a work team, but I’ll definitely come back. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and the facilities were in excellent condition. There are great spaces for groups to enjoy themselves or spend time together.

Peter was great, and the accommodation was just what we needed. Thank you 🙏
