I’d never stay here again, and I’m writing this because I don’t want others to get caught out. I booked what I thought was a good deal, $409 for a one-bedroom suite, but ended up paying $516. They put a $300 hold on my card, then charged another $100 because we used the spare room and bathroom. We’d only used one towel and sheets from the spare single bed to keep warm, since that bed had just a sheet and light blanket. Nobody told us there would be an extra charge. They say there were signs on both doors telling us not to use the rooms and to check with reception about a fee, but there weren’t any signs. Now it’s our word against the cleaners. They say there’s no such thing as a one-bedroom suite, since all the units have two or three rooms. It feels like a scam, and I wonder how many people they get for $100. If I’d known, I could have bought a new blanket and towel for that much and kept them. Who would pay $100 just to use a blanket and towel? The rooms were tiny, and the furniture was dirty and stained. The couch and bedhead were grey fabric and clearly hard to clean. It felt like you’d have to be a dwarf to stay there. The bedroom TV was about the size of a ruler, so you could barely see it. Our parking space was so small my partner had to park and climb out through the passenger side. An older person wouldn’t be able to do that. The people I’m dealing with now are nasty and rude, and make me feel stupid. We love Mooloolaba and have stayed in lots of places over the last 15 years, every year. This was our first bad experience. I wouldn’t return or recommend it to family and friends. I would never have paid $516 for this room. Don’t do it, save your money. That extra $100 they charge would buy a nice meal out somewhere.

The beach is less than an eight-minute walk away, and there are nearby shops for food and shopping. We loved the safe feel of the garage, with a private door to keep out people who weren’t staying there. The place also has a lovely, clean bathroom with good running water and a proper, roomy kitchen for cooking. We had a great time as a family. The kids loved the quiet setting and the downstairs pool was clean and a fun way to relax together. The beds were clean and so comfortable we felt like we were drifting off on a cloud, and woke feeling good. Best of all was one of the best beach and ocean views I’ve ever seen. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

The pictures make this place look better than it is. The unit was small, with only a two-seater couch for our family of four and no extra chairs for us to sit together in the lounge. The pool felt like a tiny fishbowl, with nowhere to sit for tea beside it. You have to go up the stairs and straight into the pool. The place was clean, which was the only positive. Staff were rude and unhelpful. We left a pair of very light pyjamas behind, and they wanted $30 to post them to us. That’s insane. I won’t stay here again.

The location is superb, about three minutes from the beach and all the shops you could want. We had a beautiful two-bedroom, two-bathroom room with a large balcony and lovely facilities. The beds were super comfy, and there was a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. The lady at reception was extremely polite and helpful. Simply wonderful, we’ll definitely stay again. Thanks.

The room wasn’t a water-view or high-floor room as advertised. For the same price, you can stay across the road and get actual water views. When we told staff at check-in that it was dirty, they didn’t even clean it while we were out. The rooms and facilities were unclean, and the service was bad. Staff just don’t care. Nearby places cost the same and are much better. I wouldn’t return.
