The Dome House

Renting the whole place was an absolutely terrible decision. During the storm, rain came inside because there weren’t proper windows to keep it out, and the first floor was drenched. The beds were uncomfortable and gave us backaches, the tea towels and bath towels smelled, and one room had only a mattress on the floor. The lock on the shared toilet didn’t work. Communication from the owners was terrible. After our stay, they were rude and threatening, blamed us for a broken garage door, and tried to charge us for it. They also complained that we took the rubbish out, instead of being grateful we cleaned up. We left no dirty dishes, swept the floor, and even tried to clean the pool because we wanted to use it. I wouldn’t recommend this place. If you’re thinking of staying, thank me later for the warning.

There was a great selection of tasty food made in-house, along with plenty of supplies, coffee, tea, juice, and even a glass of wine. The bed was comfortable, and the open, spacious areas were welcoming places to spend time. The architecture is fabulous, and the host was friendly. Loved staying here. Thank you, Clare.

Claire is an amazing hostess, and the breakfast has something for everyone. This lovely little find is in a quiet spot, with a small pool, and it’s handy to the beach, about a 10-minute drive away. I’d come back any time I’m in the area.

My guests had a fantastic time, and those three days midweek gave me 72 hours of what felt like paradise. This was my second stay at the Dome, and everything was immaculate, with every appliance working. I found it strange to read a review that must have been made in error. I’ve travelled the world and always stayed in at least five-star accommodation, and the Dome is definitely on that level. The owner is the most flawless host I’ve ever encountered. I feel privileged and blessed that she was part of my Dome retreat. I thank God that twice now I’ve been so close to heaven. It’s pure bliss. True as God.
