The loungeroom and fireplace were such a cozy place to spend the evening, and the views are outstanding. You can see cows in the distance, which is a lovely touch. We appreciated the welcome basket and gifts while sitting by the fire, and the cooking facilities were good. We’ll be back to try the pizza oven. The house looks beautifully presented at first, but closer inspection showed a few things that could be better. There were cobwebs around, and a dead animal just outside the main bedroom made the balcony unusable because of the sight and smell. The spa filler spout has a hole and sprays water everywhere, so we had to use cold water to compensate for the leak and pressure, leaving the bath lukewarm. The main bedroom was spacious and nicely presented apart from that issue. The bed was comfortable and the bedding warm. The door into the giant robe kept swinging back and forth, so we had to prop it with a bag.

The view each morning was amazing, and the wood fire heated the whole house. It was lovely sitting beside it with a glass of wine. Such a beautiful, relaxing stay. You won't regret staying here.

We’ve stayed three times, twice with family and once as a couple, in both summer and winter. Steph always goes above and beyond to make sure guests feel comfortable and cared for. The space is clean, bright, and neatly decorated, and the breakfast provisions and included wine are wonderful. The main bedroom bed is incredibly comfortable, and the bath robes are lovely too. I can’t wait to come back and sit by the fire with a glass of red!

The spa water came out dirty or rusty when we tried to fill it, and we ended up going home for the night. We didn’t stay either night we’d booked. The host said we’d get a refund if we left, but went back on that after we’d gone. Airbnb made up the difference. Buyer beware with this host. Airbnb’s listing states in three separate places that there are three bedrooms and the entire property is available, but two bedrooms were locked and the host wanted extra cash to open them. That condition was buried deep in the description. What a terrible experience, and a birthday getaway ruined.

The bedding was uncomfortable for me, the mattresses were very hard and firm, though some people might like that. The hot tub was one of the reasons we chose this bnb, and it was nice for a couple or a group of friends. The layout is strange but functional. We loved the peace and quiet, and the views were great. The cows came right up close to our fences on the first day and were absolutely beautiful. All in all, it was a nice place to stay and close to Victor Harbor.
