Tyalla Lodge

The balcony was a highlight, with wide views over Mudgee and a lovely sunrise. We also spotted plenty of Kangaroos along the quiet bushwalking track from the garden. Tyalla Lodge was thoughtfully furnished and comfortable, with six bedrooms and lots of shared space for couples or families. We loved our stay and will be back.

We spent a week here with friends and their families, and the peaceful setting made it easy to unwind. There was plenty of room for the kids to play while the adults relaxed in the spa, and the TV room fit everyone for pizza and a movie. The house was huge, modern, very clean, and had great bedding and every amenity. We enjoyed tea or wine on the balcony overlooking the valley, and the hosts had a good selection of local wines so we didn't have to go into town for a bottle. They were also wonderfully helpful when we couldn't work out the oven. It's a short walk into Mudgee town, and we'd happily stay again.

We came back to Tyalla Lodge for a second stay with friends, and the huge balcony with its open views of Mudgee is still the main draw. Kangaroos visiting the front and back gardens were lovely to see. The pool, hot spa and surrounding nature kept us happy during the day, while the projector, lounge, pool table and great kitchen carried the fun late into the night. The house was very clean and the beds especially comfortable. It works well for small groups or groups of 12 or more, and we'll be back again.

We loved Tyalla Lodge and are already planning another stay so we can see more of the area and spend longer with friends and family. The place was clean, comfortable and spacious enough to find a quiet spot to relax or nap. Mudgee is a lovely town, full of cafes, good coffee and restaurants, and we also enjoyed the vineyards. A beautiful getaway, with a great location and views.
