NRMA Capricorn Yeppoon Holiday Park

The park feels overpriced for what you get, in my opinion. A heads-up for families: Mulambin beach is quite a walk away and isn't great for swimming, much like the other Yeppoon beaches. The Google photos showing water slides are out of date, as those slides were removed a long time ago. For swimming, I'd suggest a trip to great Kepple island. Agnes water, a few hours south, has nice beaches close to the carivan park for kids.

The amenities block was clean, but several buttons in both the men's and ladies' toilets were broken, and the bins were overflowing. We also heard very little this year about food trucks, park events like movies or musicians, or New Year's Eve celebrations. Last year we got daily texts about what was happening, and the small touches made the stay feel more welcoming. At another park we just moved to, staff handed out children's activities, complimentary air fresheners for cars or vans, wristbands for the kids, and Zooper Doopers while we were setting up, all within the first half hour. We really enjoyed staying here last year, but after this visit we may look elsewhere for future bookings.

The grounds are great for the kids to run around, and the staff were great too. The room had some damage from before, though it looked fairly fresh. With it being school holidays, repairs may be difficult.

The campground was clean, well maintained and quiet at night, and we ended up staying an extra night. We had booked a powered caravan site with an ensuite for two nights. The kids made good use of the jumping pillow, pools and games room, with its free 80s arcade games, table soccer, table tennis and book exchange. This is easily the best camping ground we've stayed at, and we'd definitely come back. Highly recommended.
