There were several cleaning problems in the house beyond the glass incident. We found dried blood under the dining table, dirty sheets left rolled up on the main bedroom floor, a Fanta bottle on the floor, and cigarette butts scattered across the garage. Once the cleaning smell faded, the smoke smell started to come through. The location is good, but the dirt, lack of care, and cost make it not worth it to us. I’d pay more somewhere else and wouldn’t risk staying here again. When we first arrived, we didn’t know shattered coffee table glass had been left across the lounge floor and both leather couches. The table was outside near the bins. My two year old started crying, with blood running from his foot, and we found a large shard embedded in it. After hours at the pharmacy and emergency centre, and plenty of tears, we got it out. My husband also cut his hand wiping it on the floor. We gathered the large pieces, then used a torch and could still see tiny bits sparkling everywhere. I called the building’s emergency line. The woman who answered was lovely and said someone would call in the morning. All I asked for was a vacuum. Nobody called all day. I tried the regular line twice with no answer. On the third try, a different woman said nothing had been noted, took the details, and promised to call back. When we returned, we immediately spotted more glass on the floor and couch. I called the emergency line again and explained I was still waiting to hear what would happen. The man said nobody was going to call because it wasn’t the owners’ problem, but he would contact the cleaner. Late that night the cleaner called, sounding upset and defending her work. I told her I was picking up glass as we spoke. She insisted she had cleaned it and said she’d come back herself the next day. While we were out, she sent pictures of the floor and said she had cleaned it again. We were satisfied with the job when we got back, though we still tried to avoid going into the lounge. I understand things break, and it can be hard to get every last piece of glass. This was excessive, and asking for a vacuum wasn’t unreasonable. My main complaint is the poor communication and lack of care. My sister in law and her family stayed there too, and their booking was double booked. After she, her husband, and their four kids had settled in for the night, another family arrived with entry codes. When they called, staff tried to kick my relatives out even though they had email confirmation of their stay. The other family eventually left, but I don’t know where they ended up.

I was told the place would be cleaned and that we’d get a text when it was ready, but it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The floor had what looked like blood and onion skin on it, plus an oily spill by the fridge. Cutlery was dirty despite the fridge sign telling guests to wash it. There were open chemicals sitting in the laundry sink, too. The stair railing was broken when we arrived, making it hard to get upstairs. I had to lean against the wall to keep steady. In the second bedroom, the two king single beds felt like overinflated balloons. I stayed one night with two other adults and won’t be coming back.

We arrived to cockroaches, spiders, oil spills, holes in the walls, and webs. The pictures make it clear this isn’t a place where you can relax instead of doing pest control. My brother and I stayed Thursday 08/03/2024 through Sunday 11/03/2024, and the experience was awful enough that we booked a hotel for our last night because we couldn’t get a restful night here. My brother called the company about what happened on Thursday and Friday. They said they’d arrange an inspection for Saturday morning, but nothing was taken care of. We left the place as we’d found it, uncleaned, for them to deal with. I would not recommend this place at all.

We booked through Agoda two weeks before arriving, and the online pictures showed a spacious, clean place with a kitchen. What we found at check in was awful: an unpleasant smell, and a place that didn’t match the photos or address we’d been shown. Nobody was there, only phone calls. There were three families, and we couldn’t stay in those conditions, so we left. When we asked for a refund, the hotel refused. It feels like they take customers’ money without much effort. I’m not coming back.

The location was convenient, but staying there with my sister felt like being in a horror film. We paid $624 for four days and three nights, thinking it would be all right. As soon as we checked in, we had to go out and buy pest control supplies to kill the cockroaches and spiders inside the house. It was the worst experience. I contacted the booking company and the managers by email and phone about the problems. They told me to email them, which I did. On the phone, they said they’d bring pest control and a cleaner, but they didn’t, like the… By the third night, we couldn’t stand staying there, so I booked a hotel at the last minute to get some proper sleep. That cost another $300 for one night, and we’d already lost two nights of sleep because of the roaches and spiders crawling around. They still haven’t replied to my emails. It’s wild to have our concerns as guests just ignored while the message sits in their inbox. What a joke.
