Peppers Noosa Resort and Villas

Peppers Noosa was breathtaking, with a stunning setting and accommodation that really impressed us. The conference spaces were incredibly versatile, the food was delicious, and the team brought it all together with such warmth. A special thank you to Yandell, Hannah, Kra, Natasha and Valerie for being so caring, professional and genuinely hospitable. Earlier in the week, we stayed at Mantra Brisbane, which was central and had excellent conference facilities with accommodation on site, a great place to gather in the heart of the city. Then Mantra Mooloolaba offered excellent accommodation and impressive corporate facilities, in a setup that works well for business or relaxation. I’m grateful to have experienced the Accor family’s wonderful hospitality this week with the PA Network, hosted by Visit Sunshine Coast. We had the four-bedroom Tree Top villa. It was dated in style, but there was loads of room, with bedrooms across the lower two levels and the living and dining area upstairs. Most of the staff were wonderful. Terri at the front desk was the exception. She couldn’t manage a smile or any friendliness, and might be better suited to a back-of-house role.

The restaurant and wait staff were the highlight. I couldn’t fault the food or drinks, and the team were personable, attentive and considerate. They remembered our names and allergies, and even asked days later about activities we’d discussed doing. At check-in, staff were very diligent about privacy and security, always making sure the guest name matched the room number. The room was well equipped, but the air conditioning didn’t work. Reception and concierge said they couldn’t change its settings because the resort was “located in a national park.” The reception area seemed exempt from that rule and was comfortably air-conditioned. Our rate didn’t include daily housekeeping, though I hadn’t realised that. I asked housekeeping twice to make up the room and was told they were about to do it. So I was surprised to come back that evening and find it hadn’t been done. Clearer communication that housekeeping wasn’t included would have avoided the confusion and frustration.

It was disappointing to arrive for our restaurant booking and be ignored because the venue was hosting a conference, so we went somewhere else. Otherwise, the bushland outlook is nice, and you’re just far enough from the bustle of Noosa’s main strip. It’s a short walk or buggy ride down to it, and the spa is highly rated.
