When my daughter slipped in the bathroom and accidentally broke the soap holder, we reported it straight away. The property charged us $160 immediately, but never fixed it. We had to use the broken, sharp fixture for the rest of our stay, and I got a deep cut from its broken edge. They took payment for a repair they didn’t carry out, leaving a hazard that injured a guest. There were other problems too. One toilet had ants when we arrived, so we had to buy pest spray ourselves, and cockroaches were around throughout the stay. They didn’t provide basics like salt, sugar or cooking oil, and the check-in instructions were unclear and hadn’t been sent in advance. The accommodation itself was acceptable, but the health, safety and business practices make Accom Noosa a poor choice for families. They have no insurance coverage for guest damage, unlike standard holiday rentals, and charge guests in full for accidental damage, however minor. That seems unusual and unfair, as professional holiday rental properties typically have insurance for this. Guests are charged for damage, but repairs aren’t guaranteed. In our case, the broken fixture remained a safety hazard, and that could affect future guests too. Not recommended.

The place is still quiet and delightful, as it always has been, but our latest visit was a letdown after coming at least 8-10 times over the years. Unit 9 had a broken outside table, a broken front door closing dampener, mould and dirt on the fridge seal, damaged carpet, broken kitchen tools, a broken curtain rail and stains on the kitchen blind, among other things. We know times have been tough, but this is unacceptable. Do yourself a favour and give unit 9 a wide berth.

Had a great New Year's stay. The apartments were clean and reasonably priced, and Noosaville is a lovely spot. The Wi-Fi is unlimited, though a bit slow, so Amazon Prime wouldn't work. That was the only issue. The location is so convenient.

It has that comfortable, worn-in feel of an old pair of jeans, which is part of why we like coming back for long weekends. We’ve stayed here for years. The spot is great, close to Thomas St but still quiet. It could use a makeover, though.

We’re back at Terrapin Apartments for the second year in a row, and No.7 feels like a home from home. It’s bright and cheerful, with air conditioning, fans and TV, and the apartment, gardens and pool are all kept in perfect condition. We’re looking forward to seeing Rowland and Veronica again; they manage the site and have made us feel so welcome. Thanks to them from Patrick and Carol in North Yorkshire, UK. The location makes it easy to get to Gympie Terrace and its restaurants by the Noosa River, as well as Hastings Street, Noosa Heads, Noosa Junction and Noosa Beach. The site has everything we could want for a great holiday.
