The Islander Noosa Resort

We loved the pool right outside our door. With kids and all their things to carry, that was a fantastic perk, and the pool area was lovely and peaceful. We swam every day and took evening walks by the river, just across the road. There was a cafe, restaurants and ice cream shops by the resort entrance, too. Our family of five stayed in November for the first time. The three-bedroom villa looked quite different from the pictures I’d seen, in a good way: it had been fully renovated and was beautiful. It was very clean and well maintained, with plenty of space and everything we needed in the kitchen. We’ll definitely come back.

We won’t be coming back after our December 2024 stay. We’ve been here four times as a family, and many times before we had kids, but the townhouse price doubled in a year after the management changed. The cleaning has also declined, and the units don’t feel up to the standard that price suggests. We’ve booked our annual Noosa trip at a nearby resort for half the cost. The townhouse looked superficially clean, but there was rubbish under furniture and in a cupboard, heavy dust beneath the beds and on the window frames, and one bedroom’s shutters were black with dirt. My son’s hay fever flared up the whole time he was in that dusty room. The washing machine seal was mouldy and the dryer filter was full when we arrived. The fridge was warm and leaking onto the floor. We were given towels to mop up the water and offered a different townhouse, but we’d already unpacked. The kids enjoyed the resort, but the steep price increase and poor cleaning standards have put us off.

Bella and Lucy at reception were such gems. They were warm and helpful, and gave us great suggestions for food and places to visit. The villas are spacious and comfortable, the grounds immaculate, and the staff attentive. We had a wonderful stay at The Islander Noosa Resort and will definitely be back.

Villa 70 was exceptionally clean, and there were staff around keeping things tidy. My wife, our four-year-old, our baby and I had an amazing stay at the islander. There are lots of restaurants very close by, and Lucy at reception was polite and super helpful. We’ll definitely return.
