Foreign Exchange Accommodation-Beachside

The location’s great, only about a five-minute walk to the beach and Coles, and the people working there are really friendly. The manager even drove me to the greyhound bus stop at midnight. He’s awesome! Cheers :))))

I only stayed one night, but it was a pleasure and I’d come back if I get to Townsville again. The receptionist even offered straight away to drive me to the bus stop, 1.5 km away, without me asking. The staff are nice, respectful, and always ready to help. The rooms were very clean and air-conditioned, and the WiFi worked well and stayed stable. My only complaint is that WiFi is available in the common area, not in the 4-bed dorms. It’s fast there, though. Thank you foreign exchange. :)

The design isn’t anything amazing, but the prices are the best you’ll see. The service was great too, people remembered your name and offered a free shuttle when you needed one. There’s a giant snooker table in the TV room, everything was very clean, and the WiFi was fast. It’s only in the common area, but there are big couches where you can crash or study. COLES is huge and right next door, the beach is a minute away, and Castle Hill is close. Will you dare take the step walk track?

Staff are friendly and helpful, and the hostel is quiet and very clean. There’s a WiFi area near the entrance with lots of sofas and comfortable chairs, a really relaxing spot. Best of all, there’s air conditioning in every room. Much appreciated in hot Townsville!
