Fremantle Bed and Breakfast

We had the Evelyn room in this older building, and it was cosy, with an amazing room and a comfortable bed. My partner and I were left to ourselves, which we liked. The bathtub drained slowly, and we felt bad that we couldn't clean it, but otherwise it was perfect for our little getaway.

Leaving my bags there on the last day and picking them up later at a time that suited me was a really valuable service. Breakfast was excellent, with vegan and gluten-free options. I have a small appetite, so I passed on some items, but sharing a meal with other travellers and chatting pleasantly with the host was a fresh experience for me. I usually stay in hotels, but booked two nights alone as a personal challenge, since my father used to prefer B&Bs when travelling overseas. The lower cost was easy on the wallet. The building has character, though it's old and has no lift. Rooms on Level 1 and above can only be reached by stairs starting right at the entrance, so guests should factor in handling their luggage. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with limited physical strength. Since B&Bs can have shared toilets and showers, make sure you know who can use which facilities, and ask if you're unsure. It was a good two-night, three-day stay. I was concerned about noise, but most of the other guests were older couples and weren't loud.

The room and bathroom were comfortable and very clean, and breakfast tasted great. The staff were amazing and helped with everything we needed. A beautiful, relaxing place in the heart of Fremantle. Very, very much recommend a stay here 😊🙏🏻

The room was on the small side, but had everything we needed and felt cosy and homely. Susanne was friendly and helpful, and even arriving at night was easy with clear check-in instructions. Free parking along High Street may take a little while to find, but it's convenient once you do, and the accommodation is close by. The short walk to the B Shed for the Rottnest Express is a big plus, with plenty of pubs and shops nearby too.
