Perth City Backpackers Hostel

The bathrooms were quite clean, and I liked having some privacy. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful, and they took good care of luggage left near reception, which made me feel secure. Staying here made my time in Perth comfortable and relaxed. I had a fantastic trip, and the value for money was really good. Thanks!

What stood out for me was the calm, respectful atmosphere. Quiet hours run from 10 PM to 8 AM and people stick to them, which makes it a good place to sleep after work or a long day. Guests are friendly and help one another, and there are job offers posted each week. Friends who tried other Perth backpackers told me this one deserved at least an 8.5/10. The place has a good reputation for cleanliness and safety, unlike some others they mentioned. There are rooms with 4, 8, 12 and 16 beds. The showers get cleaned each morning, and the men's area has 3 showers, 3 toilets, 2 sinks with mirrors and one without. It's all relatively clean. The common room is generally tidy thanks to the $20 deposit rule: if you don't wash or dry your dishes, they keep the deposit. The common spaces are roomy, with a pool table, TV, comfy leather couches, a dining area with about twenty chairs and several small and large tables. There's also a separate games room with an Xbox you can use anytime, plus another cosy pool table corner with soft velvet couches. Outside, there's a large courtyard and an open cabana with leather sofas. Parking is outdoors, and I felt my car was safe there. Jérémy is welcoming from the minute you arrive and will help if he can. I recommend the hostel for its value, peaceful feel and friendly people. It seems like a nice place for a first stay in Australia.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. For a short city-centre stay, it was good value. The kitchen and lounge were both spacious.

The cleaners work hard, and the wash facilities were always clean and good. It's affordable, and you get what you pay for, however long you stay. There was a smell now and then, which was the one downside, but it didn't spoil my stay. I also appreciated that the rules were posted around the building and followed by everyone, so getting an early night after a long day was easier.
