Ocean View Motel

We had a lovely beach view from the balcony, and the location was perfect, near local shops and just a short walk to the beach. The stay was pleasant and did the job, though the place was budget and dated. Pillows were thin, water pressure and drainage weren't great, and the hot water cut out at times. Lots of things were starting to rust or show salt damage, mostly because of how close it is to the beach.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, and there are beautiful beaches, public transport, and plenty of cafes nearby. That makes this a perfect choice.

It's a nice place and I still enjoyed my stay. Staff were friendly and service was good, and parking was easy. The building is getting dated and needs a lot of repairs. There's no laundry, and the TV was faulty with only a few channels. When the kettle broke, staff replaced it quickly.

I'm replying to the owner's comment below: please check your facts before posting publicly. You know when I cancelled, and it wasn't 16.5 hours after the time you claim. Expedia requires your authorization to issue a refund, which you refused to give, and you hung up when we spoke. Please don't lie to justify something that isn't correct. The manager, Vel, showed unreasonable greed and no customer service skills. I cancelled because of a serious issue, 30 minutes after the cutoff time that was 48 hours before my stay. There was still time for the room to be resold, and it was resold, yet Vel kept $600. There wasn't even an offer of a partial refund. That felt greedy and lacking in basic decency. Be careful dealing with him. If he thinks this is acceptable, I dread to think what else he might do.
