Peterborough House & Motel

We really felt at home here. Every staff member was polite, kind, and helpful, and the service and food were exceptional. The location is right opposite the beach and within walking distance of the shops. Breakfast was lovely, dinner fresh and delicious, and the amenities had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you so much for having us!

Loved this peaceful seaside motel. There was no traffic or bustle, and our room had a comfortable king bed, a big shower, and its own little courtyard. The gardens were beautiful, access was easy, and the amazing breakfast was included. We didn't try dinner, but there's a fully licensed cafe and bar. Great location, too, just an easy 14-minute drive to Port Campbell town centre. Thankyou 🌊

The owners were helpful and easy to reach, and quickly moved us to another room late at night when we raised concerns. They agreed the cleanliness was unacceptable. In our first room, the carpet had old stains, there was a stale smell, what looked like mold on the blinds, and poop smeared on the outside of the toilet. They said the blinds would be replaced soon, but still rented the room out and didn't offer compensation. The motel is quiet and very close to the beach, about 15 minutes from Port Campbell, but the rooms weren't as clean as we'd expected for the price. It would've been an okay stay if the room had been a little cheaper and cleaner.

Peterborough House is a lovely surprise on the Great Ocean Road cliffs, with spacious rooms and amazing food. The restaurant's authentic curries and one-off Aussie specials, beef burger or fresh crayfish on the night we ate there, were faultless. The whole food was beautifully prepared, portions were large, and the atmosphere friendly. A love musician entertained us while we sipped house cocktails made with their own distilled gin. You can relax and take in the breathtaking scenery, or laze in bed without needing to go anywhere. They even have great coffee. Highly recommend this surprisingly amazing little place.
