The kids loved the fire pits and watching kangaroos at dawn and dusk. It’s not a long drive from Sydney, but feels like a world away. Our large family group stayed in both the Cottage and the Homestead, and there was plenty of equipment and appliances for our family meals. The place was very clean, we didn’t need to ask for anything extra, and the location was convenient. The beds were very comfortable. Hot water could be erratic when several people showered at once, though that was easy to work around, and the water pressure was good. The host was professional and easy to communicate with. A lovely, comfortable stay!

We had a memorable weekend at Hunter Gleann and would love to come back with our families. James even drove us to dinner after taking our group on a full day tour of the Hunter Valley, which was planned perfectly. We stayed in the homestead, which was spotless and had everything we needed. Rachel and James were lovely hosts, always happy to help.

We'd happily come back to this quiet, lovely cottage. It was well equipped, comfortable for six, and surrounded by an olive grove and wildlife, just right for a relaxing break.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Hunter Gleann. The Homestead was spotless and comfortable, with a kitchen and living spaces that had everything we needed. James and Rachael have made a really beautiful, restful place in the heart of the Hunter Valley. We'll definitely be back.

James was welcoming and helpful, and the cottage was kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. We enjoyed sitting outside for a barbecue and watching kangaroos hop past. The setting is peaceful with lovely views, the beds are excellent, and the supplied linen is high quality. The bathrooms were good too, with strong shower pressure. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a Nespresso pod machine and milk frother. We also went for lunch at 4 Pines and had a wine tasting at Tintilla, and I'd recommend both.
