Thistle Hill Guesthouse - walk to many wineries and restaurants

The grounds are truly spectacular, with plenty to enjoy onsite, and the location is central to everything. There are gorgeous B&B-style rooms, or larger homesteads for families and groups. Thoroughly recommend.

The freedom to make our wedding feel like ours was a big part of what we loved at Thistle Hill Guesthouse. I got creative with DIY details, my now husband had his dream pizza and gelato bar, and our favourite band played poolside. It all came together for an unforgettable afternoon and evening with our favourite people. We knew it was the right place from our first site visit. The property has a beautiful, relaxed charm, and the whole weekend felt special. It’s a unique, stunning venue with a lovely mix of elegance, warmth and flexibility. A lovely surprise for our family visiting from the US was seeing kangaroos on the property. We stayed for two nights with a large family group, and the children made great use of the swimming pool and game room. The kitchen was fully equipped, too. The owner was very accommodating. When we mentioned a few items were missing, she came to the property herself and made sure everything was sorted. Many thanks Jo!! I’d happily recommend the place and will most likely come back.

The morning walk around the property was breathtaking, and seeing kangaroos and rabbits on our early explorations was a delightful surprise. The host also talked us through a list of great local restaurants. Thistle Hill Guesthouse is a lovely way to enjoy the natural surroundings while staying comfortable. Our room was exceptionally clean and had a luxurious feel that made us wish we could stay longer. The whole property was carefully cleaned with a pesticide cleaner in the morning to keep it bug-free. We were welcomed warmly when we arrived, and the stunning grounds made a great first impression. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, where we made great coffee and prepared meals easily. Thistle Hill Guesthouse exceeded our expectations. Comfort, cleanliness and serenity came together for a memorable stay, and we can’t wait to return.
