The balcony was one of the best parts of our stay at Villa San Michele. It’s spacious and practical, great for unwinding or having people over, and the property has a lovely, open, peaceful outlook. The pools were enjoyable and well cared for. Inside, the open-plan living and bathroom layout worked really well, and the bedroom was very comfortable. The sofa beds were surprisingly good quality too, making the space flexible without giving up comfort. Guest service was exceptional throughout. A few things could make the property even better: some light fittings look a little dated, and more conveniently placed power points would help with charging devices. Separate switches for the ceiling fans would be useful, and DC fans could cut noise and save energy. Dedicated lighting by the bathroom sinks and full-length mirrors would be welcome. More screening or greenery around the pools could add privacy, and a pod coffee machine would be a nice in-room addition. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to others.

We were close to the strip and other amenities, which was handy. The pool looked very inviting, and we really liked the intimate design. Our bedroom felt a bit small, though the room as a whole was nice. We stayed several nights from Feb. 11/26.

The atmosphere was even lovelier than it looked in the photos, and we were very happy with our stay. The rooms were beautiful, clean and roomy, with privacy for each guest, and the air conditioning was the best. There are two pools and free parking, and everything we wanted was just a short hop away: restaurants, shops, Coles, the beach, bakeries and the best ice creams ever. We’ll definitely come back. It was easy to get around from this beautiful property, right on the main street but still feeling like a private oasis. I had a brilliant stay, and the receptionist kindly checked me in early and shared some fantastic local tips. I can’t wait to return!

We would never stay here again. On our first night there were two cockroaches, one in the trash can and another in the bed. It was disgusting, and after that we couldn’t sleep. I told the front desk the next day, but they didn’t offer a solution. I had to be the one to suggest spraying the room. We still felt uneasy going to bed, and when I got up for a drink during the night, I saw a cockroach crawl out from under my pillow. I’ve stayed in many hotels and never had anything like this happen. As we checked out the next morning, I told the receptionist, who just apologized and said she’d pass it on. That felt unbelievable and not hospitable at all. Absolute horror experience!! 🪳
