The cottage had just the right character for an evening by the fireplace with wine, cheese, and biscuits. It has three bedrooms and enough space for a family or a few couples. We parked when we arrived and didn't need the car again until it was time to head home. It was our first visit to Port Fairy, and we fell for the town as well as the cottage, which exceeded all our expectations. It had everything for a romantic weekend, including a breakfast-stocked fridge and a jar of Port Fairy Yo Yo’s by the kettle. It felt like having our own holiday house. Shops, restaurants, and local pubs are within walking distance, with fabulous food nearby. Australia Day kept us entertained all weekend with local bands, a craft and produce market, an outdoor cinema for kids, a surfing competition, and two women on horseback in Australia Day costumes parading along the street. We can't wait to return and hope to make it an annual trip.

No.1 William Street had so much to love, from the open fire and roomy kitchen to the comfy beds, immaculate decor, and little treats left for guests. Everything felt warm, cosy, and comforting, and we were tempted to stay put the whole time. It was just the perfect place for a cold winter weekend away. Thank you!

A peaceful spot for a relaxing weekend, with a small back yard. This historic three-bedroom cottage has period features throughout, and its modern updates fit the country style. Lovely open fireplaces too.

On arrival, the cleaner warned us about the mice plague in Port Fairy, but we didn't expect mice in the bedroom and kitchen too. There was pee and poo on our clothes and kitchen equipment. We were offered no partial refund, which would have helped with the laundry costs. Never again.

The house has a lovely, cosy garden out back, and it's an easy walk to the sea and the shops. We really enjoyed our stay. It's a beautiful old place with stylish antique furniture, and walking through it feels like visiting a museum. The kitchen is fully equipped, even with a large fridge.
