You can step out from bed and be on the white sand with the sparkling ocean right in front of you within seconds. That’s what Aloha Beachfront Accommodation Port Fairy at 107 Beach St is like. I’ve stayed many times and always come away feeling recharged. The open living area faces a fantastic beach view, with a lighthouse in the distance, so even with streaming services available, you may not feel like turning on the TV. There’s plenty of pristine beach for walking, plus paths above it alongside the road, and you can go for a surf too. This luxury two-story house is only minutes from the Port Fairy CBD. If you’re after a holiday with a little slice of paradise, I can certainly recommend it.

The balcony view was unsurpassed. The bedrooms were clean, a good size and comfortable, and the place had everything we needed. They even brought over another BBQ gas bottle on Saturday afternoon. Thanks for having us.

We spent five days at Aloha in early December and loved it. It’s right by the beach, about 100m from the beach and surf club, so it’s a lovely area for walks and swimming. The second-floor kitchen and lounge have wonderful beach views, and Aloha came with everything we needed. We booked through the owner, Nicola, who was very helpful. A great holiday spot.

The beach view is great, but privacy was a problem because there were no blinds at the front. The toaster and sandwich maker didn’t work, and the floors were dirty, with hair and dust that I had to sweep up. There was salami left in the fridge, and the milk in there was out of date. The public toilets were a shame too.
