Best Western Port Lincoln

We usually stay at the main hotel, but reviews persuaded us to book here, and it was a pleasant surprise. The room was very clean and right by the seafront. There's a bar, beer garden and food next door, also on the seafront, plus a fantastic bakery nearby. It's central for everything we needed. The only letdown was the beds: the linen was clean, but the beds are small and neither uncomfortable nor especially comfy. We'd definitely book again and recommend it.

The repeated loud music spoiled our stay, despite the lovely location and views. We stayed at Best Western Port Lincoln from 23-26 December 2025 in an Ocean View Queen Room. The room was clean and comfortable with some nice upgrades, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. We wish we could give it five stars like other reviewers, but this fell well short for us. Music first came from the managers’ residence directly above our room, then from the beach in front of our balcony. We enjoy music, but it was extremely loud and made it hard to relax in the room or outside on the balcony, especially after paying extra for the ocean view. We felt sad and frustrated. We raised it respectfully with the managers. The volume was turned down twice; the third time, the music was moved to the beach, which didn't fix the problem. Given the room's cost and how often we were disturbed, we took the issue to the company. They offered a partial refund, which we declined so we could leave an honest review. We'd enjoyed this place before, so it's a shame, but this time we couldn't peacefully enjoy the balcony view we paid for.

The shower was great, and the bed was fine, with several pillows to choose from. Parking was decent, though the driveway slopes steeply downhill, so your car needs to handle that. I stayed two nights at the best Western. The rooms are fairly small and lack some basic items, like a toaster, so it was just fine for a quick weekend for two. The sink is oddly tiny, the toilet setup is strange, and the toilet paper felt like standard drawing paper. I didn't interact with staff because I picked up the room key after hours, but the box was easy to find and the code worked first try.

The location works well if you want to walk places without being right in the town centre. It's directly on the beach with water access. The hotel gets plenty of workers, so there can be morning noise, especially in rooms near the enclosed outdoor stairwell. There are two storeys and no elevators. Parking is reasonable, though it gets busy around 5pm. The rooms are well laid out and the bedding is fine, but the mattress is only medium quality. The bathroom is nicely renovated, though the spa baths in regular rooms don't work, and the shower is just reasonable despite the renovation. There's a step into the bath and shower area that can be tricky to get out of if you have mobility concerns. A sturdy handrail is fitted, but I still struggled a little because of my knees. The microwave, bar fridge and kettle are tucked in the wardrobe. The TV has access to Netflix with your own account. This would be a four-star room for me if not for the mattress and the step up into the bath.
