Edgewater Holiday Park

The waterfront was lovely, and the facilities made it a great spot to sit and watch the barges and boats. Reception staff were really helpful. We only stayed overnight, though the park itself looks a bit run down.

A nice, quiet and very clean place to stop roughly halfway through our trip to the suncity tenpin bowling alley.

They gave us a powered site at a fair price and even offered to help with our car, suggesting mechanics. We'd broken down, and the staff took us in after 5 pm even though the office is usually closed by then. They were friendly, helpful and accommodating, and it got us out of a difficult situation. The amenities were tidy and cleaned each morning. The camp kitchen was comfortable and spacious, with room to barbecue, plus a fridge and stove. It was a very good experience.

We spent a week here over Christmas on a powered site, and our toddler loved watching the planes go overhead. They flew regularly but weren't noisy. We also enjoyed the pool, and the friendly, accommodating staff gave us good suggestions for nearby activities suitable for kids. It's a family-friendly place with a great location. Although it's outside the Town Centre, it's under a five-minute drive away, and Aldi, food spots and other department stores are within walking distance. The amenities are a bit outdated but clean and serviced regularly. We'll keep it in mind for a future stay.
