The tents were comfortable enough, but could use some sprucing up, and the stay didn't compare well with the sister hotel in Bell Gorge. The staff were perfectly pleasant, though barely trained, and service was pretty ordinary. One of our two nights the food was dreadful. Breakfast felt rushed, with guests expected to be out by 8am, and anything that ran out wasn't replenished, no matter what time it was. If I returned to Bungle Bungles, I'd probably look for somewhere else to stay.

Pack warm clothes, and bring snacks. The tents let in so much air that the evenings were really cold, though it did feel like a proper outdoor experience. The tents were cute, but the washroom was a bit dirty and had some cobwebs. Food wasn't great either, with no choices and a rather bland flavour.

The drive in is part of the remote feel: the 64 km track is 4WD only and takes up to two hours. The lodge itself has rustic charm in a stunning location, while still offering the modern essentials you need if disconnecting isn't your thing. The staff were lovely to be around and made the stay special, and the food was exceptional. I'd love to come back.

This place feels like an unexpected gem in the middle of nowhere. We had an ensuite tent with a hot shower and comfortable bed, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Meals were amazing, and drinks were very reasonably priced for such a remote spot. Each evening everyone gathered in the outdoor eating areas while staff went through the menu. After our trip out to the Bungle Bungles on the last day, dessert that night was made to resemble them. Breakfast was simple, just a BBQ, with plenty of fresh fruit, juice, tea and coffee to help yourself to.

The food was fantastic, and the staff were among the friendliest and most welcoming I've ever come across. The APT Wilderness Lodge was a lovely place to stay, and not what I expected, in the best way. The Bungle Bungles themselves are an absolutely amazing and special place.
