The room was dated and smelled a little, and the beds were hard. The TV didn't work, and at 5am birds on top of the room woke me with their noise. Service was good, though, and the room was okay for the price. You get what you pay for.

The handy location makes this an easy place to stay, with shops and everything nearby and quick access to the main roads. The building layout also keeps road noise barely noticeable. I've been back to the Crest for a few years and have watched several managers come and go. It's an old place, though refurbishment is underway, and it does the job. Service was very friendly, and it's an affordable, comfortable crash pad. Pay cash at check-in if you want to avoid card surcharges.

The location right in the center was great, and the room had the essentials for a comfortable stay. My first room had a single bed and was close to the road, so it was noisy. Staff were super helpful and quickly moved me to a double room. The rooms are basic and need an upgrade, but at that price I thought it was a good deal.

I was the only person staying, and I paid the full price for a room listed with one double bed and one single bed. I used the beds that came with the room as booked, then was surprised to be charged extra for using the single bed. I hadn't asked for an extra bed or gone over the room's occupancy limit. That feels misleading and unacceptable.
