Yaran Suites

I booked a pet-friendly apartment for 13 nights for myself and my cat. They charged extra for the pet, as most holiday lets do, which seemed fair. But pet owners should stay away if they expect their bond back. As soon as I arrived, the apartment was clearly unclean. The bathroom tiles looked like they hadn't been cleaned in at least a year, and there were mould stains on the walls and ceilings. The white towels had brown stains, so I used my own. The carpet was stained in both the living room and bedroom, and I didn't want to know what was on it. The rubbish bin was broken, and the doona smelled strange. I wanted to leave straight away, but they don't give refunds, so I had to stay. There was blood in the elevator and entry hallway, and it wasn't cleaned for three days. It was still there when I left. On my last day, I checked everything and thought I saw a stain on the doona cover. Looking closer, I found a large urine stain on the doona itself, which explained the smell. I didn't use it that last night. Then I got an email saying they'd found carpet stains and were keeping my bond. That's outrageous. I know Sami used the toilet every time, and we'd stayed in 5Star holiday houses before and always got our bond back. I believe the people at Yaran keep your bond no matter what. The poor person whose bond was taken over the doona may not even know the money is kept while the items aren't replaced or cleaned. I'm thinking about suing them because this seems to be their method. If you have a pet, stay away. They'll keep your bond. And dear Yaran Team, save yourself the time of writing another excuse or explanation to make yourselves look good. You're masters at twisting the truth.
