Villa Holiday Park

The owners were genuinely warm, welcoming and friendly, and I'd happily stay again. It's a lovely little caravan park just outside town. Our powered site was level and neat, the grounds were immaculate, and the amenities were spotless. The pool was a great way to cool off in the heat. There's a walking and bike path all the way into town, making for a pleasant walk.

We stayed in Ensuite Cabin 5 in April 2026 while visiting Roma for the Easter in the Country festival, and loved it. The cabin seemed to have a new fit-out, with fresh furnishings and appliances, including a fridge. It had everything my young family needed. The pool in the afternoons was the best, and we met people from all over Australia. Thanks, Ben and Bianca, for the tidy room and awesome facilities. It made our stay feel wholesome. We'll definitely stay here again if we visit Roma.

We had a powered site, and the owner was incredibly helpful, checking we were happy as we set up. The amenities were lovely and clean, with the added luxury of bath mats in the showers. There were even pegs at the clothesline for those who throw their washing on the line, lol. I'd recommend this park to other travellers making their way around Australia.

We've stayed at this van park several times in our van, and previously it was always pleasant, with friendly, accommodating managers. This weekend was a very different experience, and it seems management has changed. The price we'd been quoted for an available site changed when we checked in, and staff argued that we'd misunderstood. They directed us to a site, then told us to move after we'd set up. When we discussed the original price, they again said we'd misunderstood and had parked in the wrong place, even though the caretaker had taken us to that original site. Friends travelling with us, whom we'd recommended the park to, stayed in a cabin. It was dirty and smelly. The cabin had signs saying it must be left clean, with all dishes washed, or an extra charge would be taken from the payment card. Given how filthy the floors were, our friends had to mop them and wouldn't walk on the carpet. I also wondered whether the previous guests had cleaned the dishes properly, and where management's duty of care to guests begins. It's very sad to see such a nice business go downhill because of the new management's lack of care. We're very disappointed and will stay somewhere else in future.
